Tips To Making Your Teeth a Priority
When you think of things that are important to your life, brushing your teeth probably isn’t at the top of the list, But, with a knockout post for a guide, you’ll find some easy tips to make this chore easier and point out why it is so important to your day-to-day living.
THE MORE THE MERRIER
In this case, the more times you brush your teeth, the merrier they’ll be. Experts recommend at least twice a day for two minutes each time. That’s really not asking for much when you consider all the bacteria that’s being removed from the mouth after each brushing. Lack of brushing not only affects a person’s teeth, but their gums as well. Twice a day is needed, but more is certainly helpful. Try to time it after meals if possible, but at the very least, once in the morning and once before bed.
FLOSS WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT
While many people claim they forget to brush their teeth, even more cite this excuse when it comes to flossing. Don’t make this bad habit yours. Flossing removes all the tiny bits of food and debris the tooth brush doesn’t find. So, plan the time into your schedule. If you go into the bathroom to brush, plan to floss as well. For some people, it’s easier to use the small, one-piece plastic flossers with the string already strung. These are affordable and simple for children to use as well. Keep in mind, if food and bacteria are stuck between your teeth, a regular brush will not remove them, and that in turn can cause painful, expensive cavities.
OUT WITH THE OLD
When it comes to the actual toothbrush being used, fo out with the old and in with a new one. Consider it a treat for yourself. While you may think the old one is perfectly fine, it’s probably not. If you’ve had it longer than six months, it needs to go. Truthfully, if you’re brushing like we suggest, you may even want to toss it every three months to make sure you’re truly getting all the grime and food out of your teeth.… Read More..
