Even though there have been numerous advancements in the way of treating mental disorders in the past 50 years, there is still a certain stigma surrounding the views on mental illness. The good and bad experiences of one’s life shape one’s emotional and mental health. In anxiety disorders, people tend to get anxious when they are faced with a particular situation. Sometimes life circumstances can trigger an episode of depression such as redundancy, retirement, divorce, bereavement, problems at work or financial difficulties.
